Case Study - Journey

We were approached by Journey who were beginning to look at their wellbeing strategy. The business had grown very rapidly in the last few years, and it became more apparent that they wanted to focus on attracting, retaining and supporting their staff more effectively.

We were initially asked to support their Office Manager and assigned Wellbeing Champion on a consultancy basis.

In multiple 1:1 session we talked through why managing mental health in the workplace was so important, understanding of work-related stress and how to mitigate and reduce through working practices. We spent time taking the legal requirements for H&S at work and worked through the risk assessments to ensure that they fully complied with legislation.

As a result of that consultancy time we then embarked on education, we implemented and trained Mental Health First Aider roles into the organisation. Ensuring that once the training was complete that working practices made suer the roles were utilised and demonstrated a good ROI.

Journey have now taken the reins and are working hard to make wellbeing a part of their culture and way of working. As a result, they are now working towards a Health Workplace accreditation that covers mental, physical, and social wellbeing in the workplace. All the consultancy and training and Hornbeam Workplace Wellbeing supported puts them in a great position to achieve the accreditation. We continue to support Journey and all our clients in this ever-evolving world with bespoke training and consultancy so that they continue to achieve first class in their Health Workplace culture.
